Route to Gorg Blau de Sadernes 🌿
If you're looking for a hiking route with waterfalls, crystal-clear pools and wild nature, the Gorg Blau de Sadernesis one of the most spectacular spots in the Alta Garrotxa. This area, located north of the province of Girona, combines forest trails with the freshness of several gorgs (pools) ideal for swimming in summer.
Where is Gorg Blau?
Gorg Blau is located near Sadernes, a small town in the municipality of Montagut i Oix. It is one of the most well-known areas of the Alta Garrotxa Natural Park, and is within a protected area, so access is regulated.
How to get there from Barcelona 🚗

By car: approximately 2 hours from Barcelona. It is recommended to arrive early, as road access is closed when the parking lot is full (usually in summer or on weekends).

By public transport: there is no direct access. That's why at Hikers we organize group excursions from Barcelona by private bus.

Can you swim in Gorg Blau?
Yes! Gorg Blau is an ideal pool to cool off after hiking. The water is cold, but in summer it's a welcome refreshment. It is surrounded by trees, making it a perfect place to rest and have a picnic.
